The 10 Best Infinity Pools in the World

There aren’t many better feelings than floating in the clear, calm waters of an infinity pool in a luxury hotel, taking in the magnificent views as you forget all your worries and feel at peace with the world. This is the luxury lifestyle.
Of course, there are infinity pools, and then there are INFINITY POOLS! So, in the cause of luxury travel, I have gone to the painstaking effort (ok it was fun I admit it!) of compiling a list of the 10 best infinity pools in the world.
1. The Infinity Pool at The Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore
Perched high up on top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, the world’s largest rooftop infinity pool allows hotel guests an unparalleled view of the Singapore skyline and the sovereign state’s financial district.

Sip on a glass of Dom Perignon champagne as you take in the spectacular views from your sun lounger, lazily lounging among the palm trees (yes they installed palm trees up there too!).
Oh, and it looks even better at night…

2. The Infinity Pool at The Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, Tanzania
The Four Seasons hotel group is the epitome of luxury and owns some of the best hotels in the world. It appears the luxury hotel group also owns one of the best infinity pools in the world too.
Look out onto the magnificence of the Serengeti game park and watch as the elephants stroll by in what must be the best spot for wildlife watching in the world.

3. The Infinity Pool at The Grace, Santorini, Greece
An infinity pool has to be pretty special to be considered the best infinity in Santorini as lets face it, they have a few pretty darn good ones!
The infinity pool at The Grace takes some beating with simply breathtaking views over the Caldera.

Considered one of the best hotels in Santorini, The Grace takes boutique luxury to a new level with everything designed around THAT view. The pool makes for quite a setting at sunset…waiter another Mojito, please!

4. The Infinity Pool at The Hotel Villa Honegg, Switzerland
I have to say this was a tough choice between The Hotel Villa Honegg and The Cambrian, Adelboden. Both hotel swimming pools have stunning, panoramic views of the Swiss alps but the Hotel Villa Honegg just edges it with the additional view of Lake Lucerne below.

The Infinity Pool at The Cambrian, Adelboden ran The Hotel Villa Honegg a close second…

5. The Infinity Pool at The One&Only Reethi Rah, The Maldives
This pool just about pipped the infinity pool at the Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort Mauritius.
I spent my honeymoon in the Maldives so it holds a special place in my heart. The Maldives itself feels like a giant infinity pool at times as you swim to the edge of the caldera and look into the dark depths below as the waves crash into the surrounding reefs.
The One&Only Reethi Rah is a special hotel and one of the best hotels in the Maldives. They haven’t scrimped on the pool and had to create something pretty special to tempt you away from the goldfish bowl waters of the Indian Ocean.

6. The Infinity Pool at The Hanging Gardens of Bali, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
Ever wonder what it feels like to live high amongst the tree canopy in lush tropical jungle? Bring out your inner orang-utan and check yourself into The Hanging Gardens of Bali, an Orient Express group hotel located in Ubud, Bali.

The Hanging Gardens of Bali is remote but that’s part of its appeal and it holds iconic status as one of the best hotels in Bali and indeed the whole of Indonesia.
If the location among the trees doesn’t bring out your inner Buddha, the views from the infinity pool to the Balinese temple opposite should do the trick…

7. The Infinity Pool at the Caesar Augustus Hotel, Capri, Italy
A Relais & Chateaux hotel, the luxury 5* Caesar Augustus in Capri, Italy, is nestled high up on a cliff edge of this heavenly Italian island and the hotel’s magnificent infinity pool looks out across to the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast beyond.
Views like this take me back to the Grand Hotel Menaggio on Lake Como which only misses out because the pool doesn’t meet the infinity requirement for this list.

The perfect place to sip a Bellini and watch the world go by.

8. The Infinity Pool at Jade Mountain, Anse Chastanet Resort, St Lucia
I’m a bit of a sucker for a mountain and sea view combined, and Jade Mountain, one of the best hotels in St Lucia has indulged my fantasy perfectly with surely one of the best infinity pools on this prestigious list given its picture perfect views across St Lucia’s Pitons World Heritage site.

The infinity pool at Jade Mountain is a masterpiece of architectural design.

9. The Infinity Pool at The Banyan Tree, Seychelles
When I think of luxury travel, the Seychelles is one of the first places that springs to mind. Luxury travellers are spoiled for choice by some of the best hotels in the world and the Banyan Tree resort is certainly one of the best hotels in the Seychelles with undoubtably the best infinity pools (yes plural!).

(source SeyEasy)
If the communal pool seems a bit too ‘impersonal’ for you why not book a room with your own private infinity pool at the Banyan Tree, Seychelles. Now that’s what we call luxury travel!

10. The Resort at Pedregal, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Want to know where in Mexico the Hollywood A listers choose to holiday? Cabo San Lucas, that’s where.
If it’s good enough for Gyneth it’s good enough for me, and The Resort at Pedregal is one of the best hotels in Cabo San Lucas.

The hotel’s infinity pool runs along the beautiful resort beach and you feel like you are swimming in the ocean as you glide along in a state of blissful calm. If it’s a luxury lifestyle you are after this is the place for you.

So that’s it. Well almost…
I couldn’t compile a list of the best infinity pools in the world without including, surely the most amazing and adrenaline pumping infinity pool of them all…
11. Devils Mouth, Vitoria Falls, Zambia
The Devils Mouth is a natural rock pool located on the edge of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the waterfalls. The pool can be accessed during the drier months between August and September, when the water levels fall enough to make it safe to immerse yourself for a bucket list photo without killing yourself!

The Devils Mouth is not for the faint hearted, given there is a 360 foot drop if you lose your footing…
